Common questions

My sticker didn't come back

Stand about where you were standing when you left it and point your phone at the same spot. There's nothing to tap: the Look tab is always watching, and the sticker appears on its own the moment it recognises the wall. Give it a few seconds and move slowly. If a "stickers nearby" pill shows at the bottom of the screen, tap it to see a photo of the spot you saved from, so you know exactly where to point.

Big blank walls are the hardest place for it to get its bearings; textured surfaces like stone, rough concrete and murals are the easiest. Dim light, glass and anything shiny make it harder too.

Where's the best place to leave one?

Outside, on something with some character to it. Retaining walls, stone, boulders, loading docks, the underside of an overpass. Rough and textured beats smooth and blank every time.

How do I pop a sticker?

In the Look tab, point at something and tap. The sticker lands where you tapped. Drag to move it, pinch to resize, twist to rotate, and tap the bin to take it off. Nothing is saved until you tap Save, so play around first. Save takes a couple of seconds; keep the phone up while it works.

What can I put on a sticker?

Anything the keyboard can type. Words in one of the loud fonts, emoji, your own Genmoji, or the Apple stickers in the emoji keyboard. Pick a size and a colour, tap Done, and it's in your library ready to pop. Make as many as you like.

How do I find stickers near me?

Open the Discover tab. It's a map of every spot with stickers on it, with a photo of each one. Tap a spot to see where it is and get walking directions. When you're close, switch to Look and point your phone at the spot in the photo.

Who can see what I leave?

Anyone who walks up, and anyone looking at the Discover map. Everything you leave is public, including a photo of the spot. There's no private or friends-only mode yet. Treat a sticker like an actual wall in an actual street, and it'll be the right call every time.

Someone left something they shouldn't have

Press and hold on any sticker that isn't yours, then tap Report. It comes straight to us and we look at every one within a day. If it can't wait, email us.

Where did my spots go?

Open the Yours tab and switch the control at the top to Places. Every spot you've saved at is listed there with a map thumbnail, its name and how many stickers are on it. Tap one to see it on a map or rename it; swipe to delete. If other people have popped stickers onto your spot, you can't delete the spot while theirs are still there.

Does it work indoors?

It can. But it's happiest outside, and so are you. Save the good stickers for somewhere you had to walk to. And remember a photo of the spot goes with every sticker, so think twice before saving one in your kitchen.

Why does it want my location and camera?

Location, so it knows which stickers are close enough to walk to, and so the ones you leave can be found again. Camera, because that's how it sees the wall. Both are only used while the app is open, and the camera feed never leaves your phone. The privacy page has the whole story.

Which iPhones does it work on?

Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later. You don't need a LiDAR model. It's free, there are no ads, and you can start without making an account.

Will my stickers survive a new phone?

Only if you link an account. On the You tab, sign in with Apple or with an email address, and your library and spots come with you. Stay anonymous and your library is tied to this phone: the stickers you popped stay on their walls, but a new phone starts with a fresh library.

How do I delete my account?

You tab → Delete Account. That removes your stickers, your spots and their photos, and the account itself, and it can't be undone. If you'd rather just sign out and keep everything, that's on the same screen.

Only so we can ask a follow-up question. Leave it blank if you'd rather not.
